The backward curved centrifugal fan mainly depends on the input mechanical energy, which effectively increases the gas pressure and discharges the gas. This is a driven fluid machine. The centrifugal fan is bent backwards. It is widely used in the fields of ventilation, dust removal and cooling in factories, mines, tunnels, cooling towers, vehicles, ships and buildings.

The backward curved centrifugal fan is effective in converting the kinetic energy into potential energy. During operation, the impeller is effectively accelerated by using a high-speed rotating impeller and then decelerated, so that the flow direction can be changed and the kinetic energy can be effectively converted into potential energy. .

The gas that backward curved centrifugal fan backwards will enter the impeller directly from the axial direction, so that the gas will effectively change radially when passing through the impeller and then enter the diffuser. In the diffuser, the gas changes direction of flow and causes deceleration. This deceleration converts kinetic energy into pressure energy. The increase in pressure occurs mainly in the impeller and secondarily in the pressure-diffusion process. In a multi-stage centrifugal fan, a gas stream is introduced into the next impeller with a refluxer to produce a higher pressure.

The working principle of the backward bending centrifugal fan is basically the same as that of the turbine compressor. Both are due to the low gas flow rate and the small change in pressure. Generally, it is not necessary to consider the change of the specific volume of the gas, that is, treat the gas as an incompressible fluid.

The backward-bend centrifugal fan can be directly made into right-handed and left-handed types in the process of operation. From the side of the motor face: The impeller rotates clockwise, known as the right rotary fan; the impeller rotates counterclockwise, known as the left rotary fan.
